2016 PROJECT

1890 Farmhouse

An extensive update to a charming farmhouse. The house was a multigenerational homestead and it was a joy to try to incorporated those sentiments into the finished product. The kitchen and dining room were divided at the onset, but a structural header changed that. The cabinetry and farm table island were built by Simple Integrity’s Jon Edgington. Honed Carrara marble tops the cabinets. The kitchen sink is has many fond memories of days gone past. The triple windows afford sweeping views of the property. A tile hearth with a wood stove keeps the kitchen cozy despite Northeast winters. By removing an extra staircase and relocating the basement stairs, we were able to turn one bathroom into one full guest bath and a half bath.
